Lynn’s hair and makeup artist released a video showing how significant Jackson was to her. There was no doubt about Loretta Lynn’s feelings for Alan Jackson, and vice versa. They admired one another and enjoyed a connection that spanned decades.
Lynn made Jackson’s induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame even more memorable by surprising him at the 2017 ceremony. Lynn passed away on Tuesday, October 4, aged 90. Jackson tweeted two photos of them together, one of which was taken at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
“Sweet @lorettalinnofficial, there will never be another Honky Tonk lady like you,” he commented alongside the photos. I will miss you. – AJ”
Melissa Schleicher, Lynn’s hair and makeup artist, posted a video showing how much Jackson means to Lynn. As Schleicher said:
“For years when I dressed Loretta she kept asking about @officialalanjackson and telling me how much she adored him. “I was preparing it with [her daughter] @patsilinnrussell one day when I contacted Alan and asked him to surprise him, which of course he did.
The video shows Lynn’s “priceless” response to Jackson’s surprise call. She was overjoyed to hear that!
“I will treasure this footage of two of my longest-serving clients for the rest of my life,” Schleicher added. The video is embedded below.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Lynn’s family and friends. He misses her a lot.
