Non-Woke ‘Yellowstone’ Puts Hollywood On Notice, Scores First Golden Globes Nomination Ever For Kevin Costner.
The biggest TV hit of recent years, Unawakened Yellowstone, was snubbed by Hollywood at awards time. It’s no wonder why a show that pokes fun at coastal elites is being ignored.
The smash hit never received a Primetime Emmy nomination in the major categories and was shut out of the Golden Globes altogether. But that all changes in the fifth season of the show.
Yellowstone scored record ratings when the show returned this year, and now Yellowstone has received its first Golden Globe nomination, for Kevin Costner in the lead actor in a drama series category.
However, Yellowstone was still excluded from the Best Drama Series category. Hollywood Foreign Press Association voters chose Netflix’s The Crown, Apple TV+’s Severance, AMC’s Better Call Saul, HBO’s House of the Dragon and Netflix’s Ozark.
In 2013, Costner won a Golden Globe for his epic western series The Hatfields and McCoys.
